My name is Austin Anderson and this is my Sustainable Innovation & Design Blog. I am twenty years old and a native to Washington D.C. I have spent my whole life on Capitol Hill surrounded by politics and perhaps as a result am very critical of the role politics plays in certain aspects of our society. I believe sustainability is not a political issue even though it has been widely politicized in the United States. Because of this I designed my major to focus on concrete economic action towards achieving sustainability. Ultimately I want to be a sustainable architect who moonlights as a U.S. Olympic rock climber. My favorite author is John Steinbeck. My favorite quote is, “If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools”. My favorite shampoo is Pantene.
